Pazzles Calendar Mini Album Christmas In July
It’s Christmas in July over at the Pazzles craft room. this week. That means all week long designers will be sharing some great mini albums that you can craft now for those on your gift giving list. I chose to go with a Calendar theme. This makes the perfect gift for special friends and or family.
I started with the Scalloped Shaped Frame. I sized it to approximately 8.25 x 8.25. I cut the scallop in white. I cut out seven of them. I then cut the larger mat out in kraft cardstock. I cut out 14 of and adhered them to both sides of the white scallop mats. I then chose several patterned papers from the DCWV Linen Closet. I love the beautiful soft teals, blues and greens.
On some of the months I added a few extra decorative die cuts.
I created the little mini calendars and the labels for the months. I printed them out and cut them with my Inspiration Vue. For the month labels I used the title frame 1. I cut them out in white and kraft paper. I added in the notes card I made so that I could write down the special dates for each month.
For the cover I used the Fancy Frame Clock and created a clock face. I also used the vintage clock hands for the hands of the clock.
I then created some flowers and used the Twirled flowers and the flower burst files for the flowers. For the leaves I used the flower basket leaves.
I chose to create my album with holes in the top as it will be hanging from the that position. I inserted rings and added some ribbon to the rings. This makes the perfect gift for friends and family.
Be sure to head over to the Pazzles craft room for the free printable downloads!

A Couple of Cards…Unplugged
Good morning crafty friends,
I hope your weekend was a wonderful one. Summer is beginning to wind down and for many, kids are back in school and fall schedules have commenced. It can be a difficult time to squeeze some crafty time out of these busy, busy schedules. Today I am sharing a couple of cards I created for this month’s IFTL recipients. My schedule has been going at a break-neck speed lately like many of you and finding time to craft has been tough at best. Well, last week I was in the middle of doing some designing and file creation on my beloved Pazzles when all of a sudden the electricity went out. Because I work on a laptop, what I was doing was fine, but everything else went out. I was at a point where I was going to test cut some files on my PI and so that TOTALLY changed my plan. I walked away thinking surely the power would come back on in a few minutes….well, it didn’t. So after a half hour of “waiting”, I decided I better switch gears and do something else. So, I decided to see what I could come up with not using any “electricity” to create my project. I used to do these types of projects more often, and used to call them….unplugged. I also used to have a page of these projects that I called…punches and pretties…mostly because that is what I used..punches and die cuts along with some “pretty”embellies. Well I pulled out some of my punches, stamps, etc. and this is what I came up with.
I used the gorgeous DCWV Linen Closet Stack as the basis for these cards. They are very simple Easel cards and the “inside” is left blank per the IFTL directives.
Here is a view of one of the cards. I used a simple paper doily along with some Robin’s Nest Dew Drops for the outer layer to the scalloped punched circle. The Sentiment is from the CTMH Stamp Set: and I used the Whisper Ink which matched the DCWV Linen Stack paper beautifully.
Here is a closer look at the dew drops and the simple paper doily.
This shot is trying to show you how pretty the paper is with a glitter-glazed finish…love it. The stems were from a Fiskars punch and the flowers were some EK Success Daisy punches.
Here is what I used to create these "unplugged" cards.

Additional Items
Misc. Ribbon
Pearl Gem
Paper Doily
I really did enjoy creating without any electricity. While I can’t imagine my life without my beloved Pazzles Inspiration, I am now on a mission to dig out all my old punches and dies and do some more “unplugged” projects too!
Thank you so much for sharing your crafty time with me!

Doily and Rose Card
Good morning crafty friends,
So glad you stopped by today! I have a delightful card to share with you. So let's get right to it.
I created this card using the new Doily and Rose SVG Cut Files from PaperCraftingWorld.com. The gorgeous patterned paper is from the DCWV Four Seasons Stack. I lightly inked the edges with my Barn Red Mini Ink Pad in the Enchantment Ink set from CTHM.
Here's a close up of the handmade roses. I used the Dimensional Rose cf along with some Close To My Heart inks to create these beauties. The blue cardstock was from the DCWV Linen Closet Cardstock Stack. WONDERFUL paper!
I followed this sketch from the DCWV July Stack-aholic template challenge: HERE
I also used the following products
DCWV Linen Closet Cardstock Stack (Blue Cardstock)
Green, Cream and White Cardstock
CTMH Enchantment Ink Set (Barn Red)
CTMH Gypsy Ink Pad
CTMH Crystal Blue Ink Pad
Gold Liquid Pearls
MS Butterfly Punches
EK Success Swirl Punch
Thank you so much for sharing your crafty time with us! Be sure to stop back by tomorrow as Designers Cindy and Lynden share two more fabulous creations!
