DCWV February Stackaholic Challenge w Baby Girl Stack & Pazzles

Hello crafty friends,
It’s the last day of the month and that means the final day to play in the Die Cuts With A View Monthly Stackaholic Challenge! This month was a sketch challenge. Here is my project for the layout challenge.

This is the sketch we were to follow.

Die Cuts With A View Baby Girl 2013 Stack
I used papers from the Baby Girl 2013 Stack.

Here’s a closer look at the border with her name. I designed and cut the border on my Pazzles.  I actually used a piece of paper from the stack and just used the back side of it. So even my “white cardstock” is actually from the same stack. I used some blue Bazzill cardstock for the letters and then some white cardstock for the hearts. I colored the hearts with my Rose Quarts Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens.

Here’s a closer look at the Prima flowers and the cute little tag from a stack of tags by DCWV called White Fern Tag.

I was surprised to see they made a 6 x 6 pad to match this paper. It has some beautiful, soft prints.

Here is the rest of the title. I again created and cut it from my Pazzles. You cannot see in this picture but I did add a little of my Spectrum Noir clear glitter to it. It gave it a real soft sparkle.

Here’s a closer look at my top border. I wove some ribbon through the top of the border and then added some large pearls in between. I thought it gave the layout a nice top with some great added dimension and texture.

Here is one last look at the layout.  The precious little model for this is my beloved friend’s great-granddaughter Clara.  This child is such a cutie patootie! It is an absolute pleasure that I get to scrapbook this little peanut!!!

Baby Shower Favors & Free File Link

Happy Thursday crafty friends,
This week at Pazzles is baby week. It was my turn to share so I created this super cute baby shower paper favor set I used my Pazzles Inspiration and some wonderful Pazzles craft room files.

Here’s a look at the set. It is a pair of baby booties and a little hot air balloon treat holder.

For the booties, I used the cute little baby bootie file in the party collection set to create the adorable bootie favors. This downloadable CD set from Pazzles is chock full of all sorts of super fun party idea files. I used some Die Cuts With A View papers from the baby girl stack. I simply added some lace and pearls around the bottom and pretty flower with gem for the "snap". I filled it with some candy kisses and they were ready to go!

For my hot air balloon favor, I used the free berry basket file (limited time from Pazzles) for the base. I hot glued two bamboo skewers to the sides of the basket and then inserted them into the balloon. The balloon is from the On the Move Hot Air Balloon file. Again, I used the same DCWV baby girl stack for the papers as well as the baby boy stack for the yellow gingham paper. I added the word baby to the banner with some paper studio flowers and some May Arts ribbon and it was done. I did cut two balloons out so the back of the balloon would look like the front. This also made it easy to sandwich the balloons onto the skewers. Lastly, I added some colored crocheted lace and some May Arts Pearl & lace ribbon around the top of the basket, added another flower with gem from Paper Studio and filled it with some candy kisses.

One last look at the complete project.
