Guest Designer Tuesday

Good morning Crafty friends,
Welcome to our Guest Designer Tuesday post. Today we have another one of our fabulous friends showcasing her talents. If you follow our blog at all and see some of the entries, you will have undoubtedly come across the wonderful Paula Bee’s wonderful designs! Here is Paula’s post:

"I am so honored to be a guest designer at Cooking with Cricut!  They have
such great challenges and an amazing design team.  I can't say how much it
means to me to have been asked to join them for a day.

I started scrapbooking when I was in high school.  However, I really got
into it when I got my first Cricut, the baby bug, back when they first came
out.  I upgraded to the Expression when it came out and I now have an E2.  I
also have a Gypsy, which I love to use....who can resist being able to weld
and manipulate images?!

I currently live in the St. Cloud area in Minnesota.  I moved here from
Alaska, where I lived for two years.  My husband and I spent a lot of time
traveling around Alaska, so a lot of my scrapbook pages feature my Alaskan
vacations.

For my project I used Campin' Critters...one of my new favorite cartridges.
I just love the images on this cartridge.  I created this 12"x12" double
layout, which shows some pictures of a trip to Valdez.  The moon and sun are
both cut at 3," the bear at 3 1/2" and the wolf at 4," and all are from
Campin' Critters.  I used Camp Out to cut the picnic table and Pooh Font Set
to cut the title.

My second project is a birthday card, actually two, for my cousins. They
are both turning 30 on the 30th of the months they were born in, so it will
be their golden birthdays.  My mom requested a fun golden birthday card for
them.  I used the bigfoot cut, which is one of my favorites on this
cartridge.  I then used Birthday Bash for the letters and used some gold
Stickles on them."

S’mores

Good morning Crafty friends!

Hope you’re all enjoying the summer. It feels like summer is winding down as we get ready to send the kids back to school. It is another wonderful Wednesday here at CWC! It’s a new challenge!

This week’s challenge is all about the delightful summer dessert…S’MORES! Who doesn’t love a great S'More! I must admit, it has been YEARS…since I have had one!
Your challenge this week is to make a project with a S’More OR a project with the elements of a S’More…i.e. Chocolate, marshmallows…well you get the idea!

Here for your inspiration is what the design team came up with!

Chef Jean
Created this adorable layout using: Create A Critter, Gypsy Wanderings, Campin’ Critters and 3 Birds on Parade Cartridges. Be sure to head over to Jean’s blog for more details!jean campin critter, 3 birds cac gypsy wanderings

Chef Roberta
Roberta created this adorable “Snack Pack” using her Campin’ Critters Cartridge. Be sure to head over to Roberta's Blog and get details on this sweet, sweet idea!

Here is the little "S'More" guy. I used the Cricut for the lettering. The rest are SVG files I created.

Now it’s  your turn! Let’s see your wonderfully sweet S’Moriffic projects!

Here are our few simple guidelines:
1. Must be a new project for this challenge. Please no back dated posts/projects.
2. Must include a “Cricut” cut somewhere – somehow.
3. Must post a link to your post and not just the blog.
4. Must HAVE FUN!!!

Thank you so much for participating with us! We are looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations!  Have a super sweet rest of the week!

NOW, onto my Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog Creation for this week.
Our assignment for this week was: The GREAT OUTDOORS!
So here's my take on this challenge. I created the little Smore Guy from Camping Out. The letters were from Simply Sweet.

Here is a close up of the cute little "Cricut Version" Smore Guy!

Now here is my version. I used the Simply Sweet Cartridge for the lettering and created the Smore Guy in this one. I had done him originally and then decided to try and find cuts on my carts that were close enough to create a "Cricut" version.
Here's a closeup of my original version. This one can be cut from the Cricut with SCAL or MTC software and no cartridge.
Well that's it for today. Be sure to drop by the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and enter your Great Outdoors Project! There is a nice prize up for grabs!

Thank you for stopping by :-) I will be back soon with more fun stuff! Please stay tuned!
