4th of July Layout and Freebie

Hello crafty friends,
This past Wednesday was my turn to share over at Pazzles Craft Room. I was tasked with creating a project with a patriotic theme. So here is what I came up with.
4th-of-july-bear-layout-650
I created this layout using a few of the fun craft room files. I selected the MK July 4th title, the MK Independence Borders. I also used the sparkler, the independence hat, the panda bear and the panda sitting files.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I combined the two panda bear files to create the little bear on my layout.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I did use my metallic marker to color the sparkler stick piece because I didn't have some silver paper.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I finished off the layout with some fun patterned papers from the paper studio and added some extra touches with some silver sequins, bows, brads and a gem. A fun layout to capture your 4th of July memories.

Supplies Used
Seasons III Paper Studio Paper Pack
Sparkler File
Independence Hat File
Panda Bear File
Panda Sitting File
Silver Sequins
Red Star Brads
Gold Gem
Silver Metallic Marker
Misc. Ribbon

Top Pop Dad’s Day Card

Hi crafty friends,
I hope you’re having a great day. I am sharing another fun, quick and easy father’s day card.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a look at my completed card. The finished size is 5 x 6.5. I started with a black cardstock base. I used the Top Pop card cut file from PaperCraftingWorld.com. I cut the wavy base from some blue bazzill cardstock. The star patterned paper and the red striped pattern paper are from the DCWV School Days stack. I created the top pop can and the ticket with the You’re the sentiment. It’s supposed to be a pun or play on the word pop for good o’l dad.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I wove some blue polka dot ribbon through the frame and tied a bow.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I wrapped the ribbon around the polka dot ribbon. Here you can see the side top pop title cut out.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a closer look at the sentiment ticket I created. I used my print then cut feature on my Pazzles.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is a view of the card slightly opened. I used some foam tape to give some of the cans a little lift.

Supplies Used
PCW Top Pop Cut File Set
DCWV School Days Stack
Blue Cardstock
Blue Polka Dot Ribbon

Hope you enjoyed today’s project. Be sure to come back tomorrow as I share another masculine-Father’s Day project! As always thank you so much for sharing your crafty time with me. Until tomorrow,

Father’s Day Card with Pazzles, DCWV Papers & PCW SVG’s

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing another Father’s day card I recently created. So let’s get right to it.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is a look at the finished card. The finished size is approximately 5 x 6.5. I started with a black cardstock base. I used my Pazzles software to create the base with that really cool edge.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I also used that same edge to create the outer layer of the hearts. The Pazzles software makes it really easy to do this. I shortened the top layer of the card so the heart cut out would really pop.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a closer look at the cool heart die cuts I created. They have several cogs in them. I really liked the design of this. As I was creating it, I thought how much the heart is like this….emotionally, physically and spiritually. A lot of moving pieces that comprise the sum total of a heart. I also thought of how much Father’s play a part in developing and nurturing the moving pieces in their children’s hearts.

Here is a picture showing how I started with a plain white cardstock and then embossed them with Gold, Copper and Moonstone embossing powder.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a closer look at the father’s day sentiment. I used the Holidays Tags Outlines stamp set and my black inkpad. Both the sentiment and the circle stamp are in this set. I used my circle punch to punch out the circle. I used a little foam tape to give it a little lift. I then used a strip of some bronze shimmer trim to wrap around the mat. The mat is paper from the DCWV Textures and finishes stack. I used some Saddle ink to ink the edges of the mat.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a view of the card slightly opened. I used the same DCWV textures and finishes stack paper for the inside mat.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is one last look at the completed card. With the SVG card set from PCW it came together very easily.

Fishing Gift Box, Card And Freebie

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a super cute gift box and card set. I created it for my Pazzles design team assignment. This week is Masculine Week and they are sharing some fun projects to inspire you for the “men in your life”
svg-fishing box-vest-card-650

fishing-box-650
To start with, I selected the Gable Box cut file from the Pazzles craft room. I used some sturdy Blue Bazzill cardstock for the structure of the box. I then added some fishing themed patterned paper from Karen Foster.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
To decorate the box I used the MK Gone fishing title. I also used the fishing pole file. It came together very easily. For the pole, I cut it out in white cardstock. I used my silver metallic marker for the hook and my gold marker for the fishing reel. I cut the fishing title out of kraft cardstock and the other pieces out of corresponding colored cardstock.
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
For the fishing vest card, I created the card outline. I used some brown Bazzill cardstock. I then used the same Karen Foster paper and cut out the outlines.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I used my Pazzles Pen tool to add the stitching with my black fine tip pen. I used my pen tool to add the pen stitching. I added some buttons and a couple of die cuts in the pockets.

fishing-card-open-650
On the inside I added a fish pole and a couple of fishes from the Father's Day fishing pole fishes. I used some more of the Karen Foster patterned paper and my Pen tool to do the stitching. I also used my Versamarker pen for the highlights on my fishes. I also used some Brown ink to ink the edges of the pieces. This is a perfect set for your Father’s Day or Masculine Birthday celebration!
