Pazzles Embossed Vellum With The Pazzles Embossing Tool

Hello crafty friends,
It was my turn to share on the Pazzles website yesterday. So I created this pretty and easy card. The task was to use one of the many wonderful tools that Pazzles offers. So I decided to turn my attention to the embossing tool. I love that you can emboss different surfaces with your tool and machine. I decided to go with some vellum for a card.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is a look at the completed card. The finished size is 5 x 6.5. I used a white cardstock base. All of the patterned papers are from the Craft Smith.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I started by using my software to layout the top of the card that would be embossed. I used the Cherry-Chrysanthemum file and created the vellum overlay. I then cut it out of vellum and again with some patterned paper. I wanted a different pattern under the vellum. The patterned paper I used was from Craft Smith a new paper line. The stack used was Blackberry Lemon. I used a cream cardstock for the base.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I added some ribbon and some tiny jewels for the centers of the flowers. I stamped the sentiment from a stamp set and used my Red Barn Ink pad. It all came together very quickly and Pazzles made it look spectacular!

Throwback Thursday Let It Snow 12 Winter Themed Layouts

Happy Thursday crafty peeps.
I have been so busy with “paperwork” that I haven’t had a chance to get some crafting done. So I was hoping to go ahead and share a few projects I have made in the past for your inspiration and viewing pleasure. With many parts of the country still dealing with snow, I thought it might be fun to dig around my computer for some “snow-fun” layouts I created in the past. So here is what I was able to “shovel out”….lol

Fontastic Layouts With My Pazzles

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Hello crafty friends,
Today is my turn to share at Pazzles. I am sharing a fun set of layouts using something we all have...FONTS. With so many free font sites and options, you can really express your creative style!
Here are the layouts I created:

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a look at the completed layout.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I started with my Pazzles software and created the word background. I cut it out on some black cardstock. I popped all the letters out and made sure to edit letters like "a" and "o" so that they wouldn't have any pieces "falling out" of the template.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then used the template as a mask and sponged some chocolate ink on the pink cardstock. I loved that it gave it a vintage look.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then took a flower stamp from the Pick a Posey Stamp Set and the same chocolate ink and inked around the layout. I matted that onto a kraft cardstock base that also had a pretty piece of patterned paper from the Hobby Lobby Paper Studio Kellerkurtz & Company Stack.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I used my sewing machine to stitch around the pink paper with some black thread.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then used a couple of files from the craft room to create the flourished photo corners. I cut those out of black cardstock.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I added some ribbon from May Arts and a couple of chipboard embellishments I had in my stash and all done. It wasn't too hard to do, and I let the wording of the template and the photo take center stage.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is a closer look at the chipboard elements.

One more chipboard element and a couple of brass brads.

Layout 2 Family Ties
GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
For the second layout, I decided to use the same word background template I had created. I chose some fun graphic style paper from the DCWV The Homeroom Stack for the dotted paper as well as the yellow graphic paper. I used the very same template. Because it was in black the ink from the previous project did not stain the paper and it was good to go.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I found the cute heart house file in the craft room and welded it to the title I created.  I finished off the little heart by wrapping it with some silver metallic twine and a silver sequins

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I added the Family and Ties fonts and welded it all together.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here are a few silver sequins for an added touch.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I added a couple of accents and a quick banner cut and all done. Another pretty easy and fun layout! All the files are available free in the Pazzles Craft Room post for Craft room members. so be sure to head over to the post and check it out: HERE

Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day crafty friends,
Hope you are enjoying sharing a day filled with love for those whom you love! Or at least enjoying time doing what you love.   I wanted to share one last Valentine’s day project with you. As I think about love, I am inevitably reminded of God's love for each and every one of us. I hope you will feel the love of our heavenly Father today and each day. So now for my card.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here’s a look at my completed card. The finished size is 5 x 6.5. I started with a kraft cardstock base. I then used some white cardstock for a mat. I created the heart and banner cuts in my Pazzles software and used my Pazzles Inspiration Vue to cut them out. I created them in SVG format.

Formats: AI, EPS, KNK, MTC, SCAL, SVG, STUDIO and WPC Sorry no GSD or DXF

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Next, I used another piece of white cardstock and then used one of the stamps from the distressed backgrounds along with my Hollyhock ink to stamp the background.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Next, I used my Cranberry Ink pad and one of the stamps from this month’s Stamp of the month set, A Happy Hello

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Next, I took another piece of white cardstock and my black ink pad and one of the stamps from the flight of the arrows stamp set to create this next layer.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I then used some white cardstock to cut out the scalloped banner and heart layers. I used some more kraft cardstock for the top layer of the banner with the heart and dots cut out along with the top heart layer. I used the ruler and piercing tool and the journaling pen and created the faux stitched border on the banner.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
I used the Happy Valentine’s Day Stamp along with my black ink pad for the sentiment. I added some gold sequins and used some foam tape to give the heart a little lift.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
For the top, I just cut a piece of gold shimmer trim and black shimmer trim and created the little banners at the top.

GEDSC DIGITAL CAMERA
Here is one last look at my finished card. It was a lot of fun to put together and came together relatively easily.
