SOUS Circle Challenge

Happy Friday crafty friends,
Hope you’re getting ready to enjoy a wonderful weekend. For those reading along with me in Psalms for the counting of the Omer, here is today’s passage.
ק (Kuf)
145 Wholeheartedly I am calling on you;
answer me, Adonai; I will keep your laws.
146 I am calling on you; save me;
and I will observe your instruction.
147 I rise before dawn and cry for help;
I put my hope in your word.
148 My eyes are open before the night watches,
so that I can meditate on your promise.
149 In your grace, hear my voice;
Adonai, in keeping with your justice, revive me.
150 The pursuers of carnality are getting close;
they are distancing themselves from your Torah.
151 You are close by, Adonai;
and all your mitzvot are truth.
152 Long ago I learned from your instruction
that you established it forever.
Psalm 119: 145-152

So now on to today’s project. Today is a new die cut challenge day over at SOUS (Stuck On U Sketches).  Our challenge is to create a project with circles. Here is what I came up with.

Here is a look at my entire layout. I created the bears from the PaperCraftingWorld.com School days CF set.

Here is a closer look at the cute little bear holding his bucket of berries. I created the bucket in my Pazzles software and then cut out a bunch of smaller berries (circles). They had to be smaller than the berries on the border.

I created the basket and the berries in my Pazzles software again. The lettering is some old Quickutz lettering I had. Again the circles in the basket are my berries.

The vine is an older quickutz border die I had and then I created the berries in my Pazzles.

One last look at the layout.

Today is my last challenge with SOUS for this design team term. I have so enjoyed being a part of this lovely and SUPER talented team of crafters. I hope to return to them again some time soon. In the meantime, be sure to head over and check out all they have going on. They have a sketch challenge and a Project life challenge as well as the die cut challenge. Plus they have a monthly prize. You won’t be disappointed going through and checking out the amazing crafty inspiration!

My Pretty Pony Cricut Art Philosophy Paper Piecing Layout

Happy Hump Day friends,

Hope you’re all having a great day. For those following along with the Psalms reading as we count down to Shavuot (Pentecost). Here is our passage.
פ Pe
129 Your statutes are wonderful;
therefore I obey them.
130 The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.
131 I open my mouth and pant,
longing for your commands.
132 Turn to me and have mercy on me,
as you always do to those who love your name.
133 Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me.
134 Redeem me from human oppression,
that I may obey your precepts.
135 Make your face shine on your servant
and teach me your decrees.
136 Streams of tears flow from my eyes,
for your law is not obeyed.
Psalms 119: 129-136

I pray blessings upon you and your household as you read and meditate on His awesome Word. I meant to post this project yesterday, but I got behind….

Here is my completed layout. I used some of the May Exclusive Free To Be Me Paper Collection and my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. All the die cuts on this layout were created with the Art Philosophy cartridge , Artiste cartridge and my Expression. No SVG, CCR, Gypsy, Explore or Design Studio Files Used. They are what I call my Cartridge Critters. Paper piecings put together with my Cricut. Paper piecing was my first love when I started scrapbooking. Back in the day of MAMBI and Mrs. Grossman stickers….yep…that’s a throwback for those who know what I am talking about….lol!

Here’s a closer look at the cute little oval scalloped title.

Here’s a closer look at the Pony title blocks.

Here’s a closer look at the cute little pony. This version is standing.
I cut the tail pieces in white cardstock and used my Copic Markers to color them and the mane pieces.

Here is the version of the pretty pony that is “sitting”. Again, I used my Copic Markers to color her tail and mane. I also used some of my different Inks to ink the edges of the pony’s pieces as well as her wings. I used some dry decorator chalks, white chalk marker and fine tip black pen for the rest of the facial features.

As this month comes to a close, don’t forget about this month’s special.

Page Kits, Premade Layouts Sale and More

Hello crafty friends,

Happy Memorial Day. I hope you are enjoying a wonderful time as we take a moment to remember all of the men and women who faithfully served our country. Truly freedom isn't free.

For those following along with the Psalms reading, here is our passage for today.
SAMEK
Psalms 119:113-120
113 I hate the double-minded,
But I love Your law.
114 You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in Your word.
115 Depart from me, you evildoers,
For I will keep the commandments of my God!
116 Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live;
And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.
117 Hold me up, and I shall be safe,
And I shall observe Your statutes continually.
118 You reject all those who stray from Your statutes,
For their deceit is falsehood.
119 You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross;
Therefore I love Your testimonies.
120 My flesh trembles for fear of You,
And I am afraid of Your judgments.
