Hi Card With Bingo Challenge

hi card by melin-480
Hello crafty friends,
Hope you’re all having a wonderful day. I apologize that this is kind of a late post.Today the Scrapyland.com  message board is having an “online” crop hosted by Kristina the new design team coordinator.  I was invited to share a project and game, so this is what I have to share. First the Game….

I chose BINGO. I created a bingo card for all the players to use. Here’s the card. The way the challenge-game works is very simple. Simply pick a form of bingo and create a project with that bingo. It can be using the items in the boxes that create a horizontal, vertical, diagonal or four corner bingo.

Here is my project

My bingo is:
Patterned Paper, Marker, Free Space, Manual Die and Chipboard. The patterned papers were from the DCWV Citrus Stack pad. I used my y18 and G05 Copics and a regular Black marker. I also used a black fine tip pen. My manual die was the super cute flying bird die from die-namites. The chipboard is the white scalloped chipboard element from American Crafts as well as the chipboard circle covered in patterned paper. I used the Martha Stewart Embroidered Punch Around The Page Punch set to create the pretty border on the white mat. I also used foam tape on that layer to give it a little lift.

Here is a closer look at the chipboard elements. I topped the circle with some patterned paper and then used some of the American Crafts Orange, Puffy stickers to spell “hi”.

Here is a closer look at my little double bow. I used a felt flower from some felt flower ribbon I picked up a while back at Michael’s. I topped it with an American crafts button.

Here is a closer look at the little square metal clips I used as some decorative accents. You can also see a closer look at the border punch I used to frame the top layer.

Here’s a look at the die cut pieces to the birdie. I started by cutting all the pieces white. I like to do this when I need to color the pieces in.

Here is my chipboard circle ready to be covered by some paper.

I trimmed the square metal paper clip down. I needed it to be a bit smaller for this project.

This is my last post for my Scrapyland.com  DT. I have enjoyed it immensely and wish Scrapyland.com much success. I am sure the new designers will continue to showcase tons of fun and inspiring projects.

UPDATE.... I apologize that the crop is over before most of you will see this post. I wasn't sharing my project until 8:45pm my time Sunday. Not a lot of time to participate. :-( .

Be sure to come back by tomorrow as I share another fun project with you! Until then,

DCWV March Stackaholic Challenge Card AND Freebies!

Hello crafty friends,
Hope you are having a great day and wrapping up your week. Today I am sharing a card I made for the DCWV Die Cuts With A View Monthly Stackaholic Challenge. Each month they have a challenge and typically feature a card and layout sketch. I shared my layout project for this month: HERE. Today I am sharing my card challenge plus I am sharing a couple of freebies! So let’s get started.

Here’s a look at my card. I used a Pazzles Craft Room FREEBIE (SEE LINK BELOW)from the Miss Kate’s Cuttables collection. I took the scallop base, welded two together to create the card base. Cut that out of some Kraft paper from Hobby Lobby The Paper Studio. I followed the sketch provided by the challenge. I used some pretty patterned papers from the DCWV Die Cuts With A View Butterfly Garden Stack.

Next, I made a Print N’ Cut file with the sentiment and flower. It was my first attempt at a print n’ cut file and I think it came out pretty good. I added a couple of tiny brads on each end of the sentiment strip. I added a cute button with some twine to the center of the flower. I inked the edges of all my paper layers and added some pop dots to the different layers to give them a nice staggered look with some depth. Finally I added some pearl embellishments to the outer edge.
