Always And Forever Layout

Happy Monday crafty friends,
I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. I apologize for not posting the last few days. Just had a lot going on. You know how that can be. Anyway, I wanted to share today’s Psalm reading for those who are following along first.

ע Ayin
121 I have done justice and righteousness;
Do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Be surety for Your servant for good;
Do not let the proud oppress me.
123 My eyes fail from seeking Your salvation
And Your righteous word.
124 Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy,
And teach me Your statutes.
125 I am Your servant;
Give me understanding,
That I may know Your testimonies.
126 It is time for You to act, O Lord,
For they have regarded Your law as void.
127 Therefore I love Your commandments
More than gold, yes, than fine gold!
128 Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things
I consider to be right;
I hate every false way.
Psalms 119:121-128

May your heart and mind reflect on the goodness of His word. Now on to today’s project. I created a layout with my grandmother and a couple of my nieces. I used paper from the DCWV Modern Meadow Stack and my Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.

Here's a look at the completed layout.

Here’s a closer look at the title. I used the Cricut Artbooking cartridge. I cut it at 2.5” using some Kraft cardstock.

Here’s a closer look at the flowers. I used some paper from the same DCWV Modern Meadow stack and cut the flowers out. I cut then at 1.75” and layered them. I added a Doodlebug jewels from my stash to the centers. I also used foam tape on the middle flower to give it a little lift. The flourishes were cut at .75” from some kraft cardstock.  The journaling card as well as the Sunshine sentiment card are included in the Modern Meadow Stack, so they coordinated with the papers perfectly. You can also see in this photo that I inked around the edges of the floral patterned paper with some Barn Red Ink from the Enchantment Ink Pad set.

Here’s a closer look at the sun die cut. I cut that out at 3.5 and 4”.  I used some old paper I had in my stash, but if you need a color close to this, it is very close to the Crème Brulee cardstock from CTMH. You can purchase a pack of Crème Brulee Cardstock or you can get a couple of sheets in the I used some Sunset ink from the Adventure Ink Pad set to ink the edges of the rays. I staggered and layered them and then tucked it underneath the paper a bit. I added a button to the center and tied a bow of twine to it. I also added a few more Doodlebug jewels to the top corner for a little decorative touch. You can see by this photo the the base paper and the striped papers are pre-glittered. It gives the layout a little extra understated pizazz.
