Close To My Heart Believe In Yourself Card

Hello crafty friends,
Happy Sabbath! I hope you are enjoying your day of rest and doing some crafting. Today I am sharing another card I created with some more Close To My Heart goodness! So let’s get right to it.

Believe In Yourself Card

The finished size of this card is 4.25 x 5.5. I used a kraft cardstock base.

The sentiment is from the Believe in Yourself Everyday Life Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment in Sky Ink.

The flowers were stamped with the Hello Blooms Stamp set. I used Buttercup and Honey Ink for the flowers and centers. I topped off the centers with Pink Gems.

How I Made This Card
sponged-background-480
I started by sponging my white background mat. I used Cotton Candy and Pear Inks. I cut the sponge I received in my consultant kit into 8 “pie wedges”. I then dabbed one piece in the ink and then dabbed it onto the paper.

Once I finished sponging the background I used the hounds tooth background stamp from the Distressed Background Stamp set.  Tip: I started with my first stamp in the middle and worked up and out so that I wouldn’t have too much overlap of the different colors.

Here’s what the background looked like once I finished stamping it. I know it looks like a “hot mess”, but It is okay because a good portion of it will be covered by the other elements, etc.

Next I cut several flowers out of the SVG die cut file that I created for this stamp set.
