SOUS Snowflake Die Cut Challenge

Hello crafty friends,

So glad you dropped by today! It’s another Friday Die Cut Challenge at Stuck On U Sketches Blog. This week our challenge was to create a project with a snowflake die cut on it. So here is what I came up with.

Here is my layout. I used paper from the DCWV Die Cuts With A View White Ginger Paper Stack. I also used the Snowflake Layout CF set from PaperCraftingWorld.com.

Close up shot of a few of the flakes I simply added a gem in the middle of each flake. I purposely did NOT want to glitter them up. I wanted this layout to look a little cleaner.

Here’s another close up of a few of the other flakes.

One final shot of the rest of the snowflakes. The file set comes with 7 snowflakes and one scalloped circle. I did ink the edge of the background papers. The blue was inked with Pacifica and the green patterned border at the bottom was inked with Topiary. Both inks are in the Enchantment Mini Ink Pad set from Close To My Heart.

Day 25...almost Christmas Raccoon Layout

Hello crafty friends,

Merry Christmas. I hope each and every one of you will enjoy a holiday full of the love, peace and joy of this wonderful season. The reason for the season is Yeshua…Jesus. While learning the Hebrew roots of my Christian faith, I know this is not the actual time in which our blessed savior was born. Even though the timing for the celebration is off with today’s society, I am none the less, most grateful for any time in which the world acknowledges Him and His amazing gift of salvation to a lost and dying world. I created another cute and fun layout.

Here’s a closer look at the title with the pinecone, branch and sprigs. You can also see a closer look of the cute little Raccoon paper piecing. I used various inks from my CTMH mini ink pad sets to ink the edges of the pieces for added dimension. I used the following:

Slate for the black, gray and white pieces from the Basics Ink Pad Set

Ponderosa Pine for green pieces from the Enchantment Ink Pad Set

Cocoa for the brown pieces from the Basics Ink Pad Set

I finished off his cheeks with some Dry Decorator chalk and

Used the Chalk Marker for all of the added details and doodling.

Here is a closer look at the cute raccoon piecing. He is nice and big and holding a little present.

Here is a closer look at the trees. I used some dimensional paint along with some diamond stickles to create the look of snow on the white die cut pieces.

Day 24 of 25 Days

Hello crafty friends,

Today is my last Christmas card share. It is my turn to share for the Scrapyland DT. I wanted to make a cute card….so here is what I came up with.

I created this cute little reindeer using the Doodlecharms cartridge. The background paper is from the Sweet Stack. I created the reindeer by taking different cuts from the cartridge and “piecing” them together. He is a little bit larger than the pattern I created for a layout I shared a few weeks back. You can check that out HERE.

Today is Christmas eve. For many it is a time of preparing to be around family, friends and loved ones. I hope you are able to spend time with the people you love. Please take a moment to pray with me for all those out there that do not have loved ones around. Please also pray for those who have no home or are away from home. This can be such a tough time of year for many. I am so grateful to the Yeshua Ha Maschiach, the Ha Torah, Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior for His unending grace and mercy in my life and in the lives of the many I love. I pray that you will feel the warmth of His love, hope and the joy of His salvation message to us all this season and into the new year.

Day 23 of 25 Days

Hello crafty friends,

Hope you’re day was a good one. Today I am sharing a couple of layouts I created.

This first one was created with cuts from my Cricut cartridge: Joys of the Season. I also used some punches and and a border punch.

this next layout was created with SVG cut files from PaperCraftingWorld.com. I did also use some border punches as well as some quickutz dies and some punches.

Day 22 of 25 Days

Well my crafty friends,

Where has the time gone? I want to apologize to those who have been faithfully checking in each day. I have not been able to accomplish nearly as much as I had hoped. I certainly hope this hasn’t offended anyone. I wasn’t sure how far I would get with all this and that is why on day one, I let everyone know that I would try my best, but couldn’t make any promises…. In the end, it probably should have been called the 12 days of Christmas…lol. Anyway, I have a pretty cute little layout to share with you today. One of my objectives for 2014 is to begin producing some kits again. So this will be the first of hopefully many posts in which you will be able to purchase a kit if desired or purchase the matching SVG cut file set to produce your own Smile

Here is my Elf on The Shelf Layout. I think it turned out super cute.

Here is the full body elf sitting on a cute little shelf.

Here is a view of the little elf topper. As with all my piecings, I will softly ink and or chalk the edges to give them some added dimension. Here is a list of the various inks I used for the different colored pieces. I used inks from my various CTMH Ink Pad Sets As Follows.

Crème Brulee Ink pad from the Whimsy Ink Pad Set for the flesh pieces.

Black Ink pad from the Basics Ink Pad Set for red pieces.

Topiary Ink Pad from the Adventure Ink Pad Set for light green pieces.

Ponderosa Pine Ink Pad from the Enchantment Ink Pad Set for dark green pieces

Sunset Ink Pad from the Adventure Ink Pad Set for gold bell pieces.

Whisper Ink Pad from the Basics Ink Pad Set for the black and white pieces.

Cocoa Ink Pad from the Basics Ink Pad Set for brown shelf pieces.

I finished off their faces with some dry decorator chalks, Black Fine Tip Pen for the eyelashes and my White Chalk Marker for the white on the eyes.
