I cut the poinsettias and leaves from some Bazzill Red and Green cardstock.  I inked the edges of the Poinsettia with some Cranberry Ink. I used some Topiary Ink on the edges of the leaves.

Here is a close up of the chalkboard art I created. One of the wonderful things about the Pazzles Inspiration is the fabulous Software that goes with the machine. You can create and do so many wonderful things with it. Among the great things is the ability to create your own print n’ cut files.  I created this chalkboard art right in my inspiration studio software. I used some free fonts as well as creating some right in the software. As a little gift to everyone, I am giving this away as a freebie during this hop.

DCWV Citrus Stack-Spellbinders Die Cut Frame Layout

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a simple but pretty layout I created using some fabulous dies from Scrapyland.com. Here is my layout. I used some beautiful DCWV Citrus Stack paper and some cardstock.

dcwv citrus stack-spellbinders lo-450

The pretty “frame” was created by using the Spellbinders D-Lites Corner Flourish. I cut it out 16 times and then layered them on some slate blue cardstock to create the “frame”.

I then cut out 25 white flowers from the Momenta Flower Die set and then layered them to create the flowers. Finally I cut out the Poppy Stamps Meadow Leaf die 10 times and added the lovely leafy sprigs to the layout. I didn’t want to add too much more as I wanted the layout to look very clean and understated. That way my pretty niece Taylor would shine.

Here’s How I made the flowers
flower set2-450
I started by layering a set of 5 flowers onto each other. I staggered the layers so the petals would “alternate”.

Next, I inked the edges of the crisp white with my Aqua Cat’s Eye Ink Pad
Then I began to curl the petals. I used a crochet needle I had on hand, but anything you have that has a thinner barrel would work well. I curled the petals Inward and layered them onto each other. The center petals got curled more deeply to give the flower some shape.

Once I curled all the petals upward. I inked the edges again so the ink would be on both sides of the petal.

Swirled-Twirled Flower Wreath

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a wreath I created for one of my Pazzles DT assignments this month. I used only one file from the Pazzles Craft room Library. It was the Napkin Ring from the Mad Hatter set.  Here is my project.

Here is my completed wreath.

Here is a closer view of the pretty bow. I picked the ribbon up at Hobby Lobby at 60% off the Halloween Decorations Isle.

Here is a view of all the flowers. I cut them all the same size. I simply twirled some tighter so I would have varying widths.

wreath side view2
After twirling the flowers, I simply began hot-gluing them to the painted fiberboard wreath. This gave them a really good strong adhesion. I packed the flowers very tightly and after the glue dried, they are on there very firmly. I am glad I chose to use the DCWV patterned paper. I like that the white core adds some continuity to all the flowers even though they are all different patterns and colors. It is also a stronger, cardstock weight paper and that gave the flowers some added firmness. It is amazing that just one file can produce such a wonderful decoration. I hope you will get a chance to cut, twirl and paste some for yourself! This wreath will definitely be around for a few years!

Thinking of You Card

Hello crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a pretty card I made featuring some lovely dies from Scrapyland.com If you haven’t stopped by there, make sure you head over and take a look at all the beautiful dies. They carry a wide array of dies from all over the world!

So let’s get started, here is my card
thinking of you spellbinders car-445
Here is my card. The base is linen white and the beautiful patterned paper is from the DCWV Sweet Stack. I used some Spellbinders corner dies for the outer and inner decorative corners.
I used the Spellbinders Oval Beads For the two layers of oval beaded layers. I cut a duplicate out in the sweet stack paper and then trimmed off the “beaded” edge. I used the regular ovals Spellbinders dies to cut out the sentiment.

thinking of you spellbinders cu-480
Here is a closer view of the tiny flowers and the pretty leaves. These were made using the Impression Obsession tiny rosette die set and the Elizabeth Dies Curvy Leaves set.

io rosette dies die042-1
Here is a shot to show you how very small the actual dies are. The set comes with these four and one more not pictured that is a bit smaller than these.

finished rosettes w copic-445
To create the little rosettes, I cut them out of plain white paper. I rolled them up and then hit the tips with my Copic Marker to give just the tips some color. I liked the duo-tone of the finished flower and wanted something that matched the pattern paper I had picked. I didn’t have just the right shade of pink cardstock so this was a great alternative to pulling in the coloring without going too far off track.
