Cartridge Showcase: Garden Soup

Hello everyone!!  Charlotte here from A Little Bit of Detail.  Melin and I are delighted to bring to you a showcase of the cartridge, Garden Soup.

This cartridge has some wonderful images, phrases, and borders.  And I do think it has some of the best  3D projects ever.

Today, I have three cards to share with you using the Garden Soup cartridge.  The first one is a little card made with the honeycomb shape.  The one I am using is plain.  However there are some great honeycomb shapes that include design cuts.

The little honeycombs were cut at 1 inch.  I ran them through my zyron to make it easy to place them on the card.  The little flower is also cut from Garden Soup.  The white paper was embossed with the Swiss dots folder and inked around the edges with black.  The senitment is a stamp from Inkadinkado.  It was added to the card with foam tape.  The bird sticker is from a set that I found int he $1.00 bin at JoAnn's.  And of course, I just had to add ribbon and twine.

My next card makes me think of planting that spring garden.  And it is about that time of year.

Isn't this wheelbarrow wonderful!  I hand cut the dirt and added it.  The wheelbarrow is inked with a little pewter.  The watering can, shovel and pick are also from the Garden Soup cartridge.

The little birds I added to the card are from ColorBox and came from JoAnn's.  The sentiment is from Just Rite Stampers.  The labels for the sentiment were cut with Spellbinders dies, and then inked in pewter.

Here is a little card that will surely bring the sunshine.

The base of the card is kraft.  I added a pale yellow mat and then topped it with a white mat.  I used an embossing border folder called wicker weave on the left of the card.  I then inked it with a little chartreuse and added three little yellow gems to it.
The daffodils were cut from the Garden Soup cartridge.  I then added some yellow glitter glue to them. The sentiment is from Just Rite Stampers. The labels for the stamp were cut with Spellbinder dies.  The white label is inked with chartreuse and the green mat is inked with green.  I added another little yellow gem to the sentiment.  To complete the card I added a pretty sheer yellow bow.
