Cartridge Showcase: Life is a Beach

Hey Everyone! I hope you are all having a great summer so far! It is Thursday already! And that means 2 things: We have another cartridge showcase for you and the weekend is close! Today Chef Suzanne is going to show you a whole lot of projects using the Life's A Beach cartridge!

Hi this is Suzanne from Cricut Craftin Grammy with your Life's A Beach Showcase.  Being Summer has just begun I thought it was a great time to look at an older cartridge "Life's a Beach".  I love this cartridge and have gotten a lot of use out of it.  Not only because we live in California in a beach town, but for fun events, cards, layouts and gifts.   Life's a Beach includes layers, title words, borders, photo card, square cards and charms.  

For this card I used the square card  page 81 and the  charm feature page 64.

I colored the sandles with my Spectrum markers and stuck the charm to the card with a fish brad. 

Ribbon was from my stash and the simple moments was in a sticker set.  

Inside left blank to feel in later.  

This project is one of my pride and joys.  I made this for my daughter's bridal shower.  The palm tree branches were cut from Life's A Beach  page 40.  

Layout using border from page 67 welded together.  Then added some cuts from A Child' Year.

CWC #92: It's HOT Outside & Blog Hop Winners

Happy Wednesday and welcome to Cooking With Cricut!  I don't know what the weather is like in your neck of the woods . . . but here in "sunny" Florida it is HOT and NOT SUNNY at all!  Tropical Storm Debby has parked herself over Florida and is dumping tons of rain; and its not supposed to let up until late Friday or early Saturday morning.  The good news is our drought-stricken lakes are filling up and the aqua fir is being replenished!  The bad news is they may have to change our state slogan to "The Sinkhole State!"

Here are the guidelines for our Die Cut and Or Stamp Challenge.

* Project must be new and for this challenge. Please no back dated posts.

* Project must follow the theme – challenge as described above.

* You may use any of the free files we offer your project. Or one you may already have from PaperCraftingWorld.com. This isn’t mandatory, but we'd love to see what you do with them!

* Your project must include either a stamp: rubber, clear OR digital and OR a digital craft cutting file (like SVG, WPC, GSD type) using any type of electronic cutting machine (Pazzles, Cameo, Silhouette, E-Craft, etc.) or a die cut from a hand machine die cutter (Spellbinders, Big Shot, Sizzix, Lifestyle Crafts, etc.) Pretty much anything besides a Cricut. Punches would be fine too!

Jen’s Birthday Hop Day 2

This month our hop theme is all about Birthdays and one special one in mind. Our wonderful DT Coordinator Jen Hudson’s birthday just happened to fall on Saturday so we decided to make birthday inspired projects with a “Jen” theme in mind. Our go to gal is a die-hard Florida Gator Fan. So we decided to use elements on our projects that reflected Our GATOR FOR LIFE Gal’s FANCY; Florida, The Florida Gators and anything that would make you think of the Sunshine State. Here is the card I made for today. It is very simple and showcases a gator and the “gator colors”. I had honestly planned to do something else, but “life” just really got in the way....lol. Sorry the picture isn’t the greatest either. I took it at night when there was no natural sunlight around. The sun was asleep like everything else, except me...lol.

So what would a blog hop be without some blog candy. Here is what we have.
