Welcome to another Tuesday Guest Designer Spotlight here at CookingWithCricut.com. Today’s guest designer is the wonderful Barb of the BugBites411.blogspot.com. Here is what Barb has to say:
I am so excited because today I am a Guest Designer a one of my favorite blogs, Cooking with Cricut.
I have been crafting for as long as I can remember, way back to grade school days. But really started scrapbooking when my friend asked me to a CM crop one Saturday. Well, I was hooked. From there my passion for scrapbooking and paper grew leap and bounds including organizing and hosting scrapbook retreat weekends.
Thank goodness for my husband and his foresight to purchase my first Baby bug for Christmas one year. I was skeptical at first and now I can barely go a day without using one of my Cricut machines. And do I need to say anything more when it comes to the Gypsy.
When I am not scrapping I am traveling for business and pleasure. Because I travel so much, I have as soft spot for the Pack Your Bags cartridge.
So for my Guest Design spot here today, I have created this Diva Card using The Pack Your Bags cartridge.
I find many of the cuts can be modified slightly for other purposes other than travel or beach scenes.
My card today is an example of that where I feature this gal with a drink in her hand. She could be strolling in the sun sipping lemonade. But in my case, I gave her a stylish purse and now she’s a shopping diva-- hopefully shopping for scrapbooking supplies!
I used the Elegant Edges cart for the scallop card base and pattern mat. I then cut the Girl at 5”. The cute little purse is from Create-A-Critter- what doesn’t that cartridge have!
Here are some other projects I have done using this cartridge as well.
Hope this inspires you to use this cartridge for things other than travel related ones.
Please be sure to head over to Barb’s Blog BugBites411.blogspot.com and check out more of her amazing projects!
Thank you so much Barb for being a part of CookingWithCricut.com.
Be sure to come back by tomorrow when we reveal our new Cricutlicious Challenge!
Happy Crafting, the CookingWithCricut.com Team :-)
